I am a writer and editor who’s worked in the industry since 2003. (Longer if you consider I started diagramming sentences at age 10.) I use the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS), and am a member in good standing of the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA). I am currently an editor at Dead Fox Publishing.
I am also bisexual, and a safe space for all LGBTQ+ folx.
I AM NOT, HOWEVER, A FULL DEVELOPMENTAL EDITOR. I am happy to provide comments on pacing or story arc, but if you need book coaching or serious developmental edits, I am not the editor for you. If you require a full developmental edit, check out the editorial professionals list at the EFA website.
Anti-AI Pledge: I DO NOT use generative AI in my writing, nor will I work with anyone who uses AI; this is a non-negotiable clause in my contract.

TESTIMONIALS
“Working with Liz was an immensely positive experience. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Liz completed the edits for my novella and caught all sorts of tiny errors I would never even think to look for. When she suggested changes, Liz always backed up her reasoning. As an aside, her side comments in the work brought a consistent smile to my face. The turnaround on her editing work was prompt and honestly exceeded my expectations. - Carson McEvoy, A THIN PLACE
“I had the distinct pleasure of working with Liz, an editor for Dead Fox Publishing. Liz was integral in the polishing process of Season of the Goat; her perspective, experience, and patience were a deeply appreciated and essential part of the process, which really helped mold the manuscript into something more. I was impressed with her communication, quickly responding to questions, encouraging and guiding with a very hard-to-find degree of professionalism, warm humor, and kindness that made editing a breeze. I've been working in this industry for a very long time, and I must say that Liz is a rare find in the field. Someone who loves her work, is amazing at it, and wants to bring out the best in every manuscript and author she works with. The House of Harrow highly recommends her.” - R.R. Harrow, SEASON OF THE GOAT
